Las Vegas West

IAE Las Vegas Sahara is conveniently located just minutes from the world-famous Las Vegas Strip at the instersection of West Sahara Avenue and Richfield Avenue. A bus stop is easily accessible in front of the school to connect students with Las Vegas’ main source of public transportation. In addition, dormitory-style student housing is available within walking distance of the school.

IAE Las Vegas Sahara offers English classes every Monday through Thursday. Students attend class for 5 hours each day. Morning sessions: 9:00AM – 2:00PM.

William Doyle

Administrative Site Director

William is from Dublin, Ireland. Having taught English as a second language in Brazil for twelve years, Bill moved to the USA in 2013. William was an Official University of Cambridge Speaking Examiner for over five years and has obtained several TESOL certificates. He has been the Site Director at Las Vegas Academy of English since 2013. William is an avid sports fan (Manchester United and Buffalo Bills) with a soft spot for the San Francisco 49ers, he also enjoys writing songs, reading, playing the guitar, and loves spending time with his family.

Loretta Dutt

Academic Site Director

Loretta has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication as well as a Master
of Arts Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, which she earned
at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1995. She has taught
ESL at the intensive English institutes at the University of Illinois and
Ohio University and EFL in Madrid, Spain. She was also a reading/writing
tutor for native speakers at the St. Louis Community College. She has
taught at the IAE since 2008 and is currently the Academic Site
Director/Head Teacher at the Las Vegas West Campus. Loretta lives in Las
Vegas with her wonderful husband, Timothy. In her free time she enjoys
serving the community through the organization Nevadans for the Common
Good.

Monique Manning

Administrative Assistant

I was born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona. I moved to Las Vegas in 2008 to
gain more experience in the hospitality industry. I am currently pursuing
my associates degree in Business Management with an emphasis on Human Resources. I enjoy spending my down time watching Peyton Manning play football, visiting San Francisco, and being with family and friends. Most of all, I love being with my son.

Loretta Dutt

Loretta has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication as well as a Master

Andrea M Rosales

Having taught English as a second language since 2004 , Andrea has consistently
added value to her teaching career. Her experiences have determined that it is
useful to know how the human brain functions during the process of language
acquisition in order to provide students with a better teaching methodology. She has excelled needs and expectations by bringing into the classroom what she has learned while earning her BA in Psychology. After acquiring her CPE from Cambridge and teaching English in South America, Andrea decided to come to Las Vegas to further her qualifications by setting out to obtain the TESOL certificates. After a few short months, she decided to stay and teach English in North America.

Gina Ropokis

Gina is from Long Beach, California and she lived in California, Spain,
England, Hawaii, Greece and Virginia (in that order). She earned her
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Computer Science from California
State University, Long Beach. After graduation she worked for United Airlines
as a Senior Quality Control Analyst for ten years. When her daughter was born
in 1999, she moved to Preveza, Greece and taught ESL for five years at
Hana Quinn, a private English language school. Gina has a passion for teaching
so she also teaches at Kumon Learning Center. She loves visiting her son at
Stanford University and she’s cherishing time with her daughter
who is a senior at West Career and Technical Academy.

John Lipes

John C. Lipes has been teaching since 1996, when he started working for Berlitz Language Schools in Nuremberg, Germany. He started teaching at IAE in 2005 in San Diego CA and now teaches the advanced students in Las Vegas NV. Mr. Lipes is an international Best-Selling ESL author with 34 products available worldwide, including his series, English Explained, which has been #1 in 11 countries. In addition to being a TEFL/TESOL and California BPPVE Certified English Instructor, John has studied Hotel / Restaurant Management, Real Estate Law, and received his Master’s (German Diplom) in International Marketing in 2003 from SGD Polytechnic University in Darmstadt, Germany. Additionally, John is a BMI registered writer and Associated Press Contributor as well as English – German Interpreter and Translator and owner of ISH: International Student Housing, in Las Vegas.

Vivian Martin

University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a bachelor’s degree in Romance
Languages and Linguistics. She taught ESL to high school and adult
students in France before returning to Las Vegas to work for the Clark
County School District. She joined the IAE team in 2014, and loves
working with culturally diverse, international students. Vivian also has
a background in visual arts and photography, and has shown work in both
group and solo exhibitions in Las Vegas. She co-hosts a weekly art-house
cinema club, and is an avid swing-dancer, record collector, and vintage
enthusiast.
