Las Vegas East

IAE’s Las Vegas East location is a great place to study English and have fun. You can find good places to eat or shop, banks, and public transportation (there is a bus stop across the street from our school). You are close to UNLV, and the fabulous downtown Las Vegas Strip. There are many apartment options nearby. You will love the location!!

IAE Las Vegas East offers English classes every Monday through Thursday. Students attend class for 5 hours each day. Morning sessions: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

Yepsis Cabrera

Administrative Site Director

Yepsis Cabrera was born in Havana, Cuba and came to the United States in 2002. She earned her degree in Political Science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2012. Yepsis enjoys reading, listening to different kinds of music, driving, and Salsa dancing! Yepsis has experience assisting international students and enjoys helping people and learning new things about different cultures.

Megan Buckley

Academic Site Director

Megan, a local to Las Vegas since 2005, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in May of 2013 with minors in both Italian and Anthropology and a creative writing senior thesis. She has been extremely interested in experiencing other cultures since a very young age. Having studied abroad twice in both Italy and England, after graduation she moved to Costa Rica to obtain her TEFL certificate. She remained there teaching English to adults full time at Maximo Nivel, a private language institute; part time to kids at Lapa Verde Centro de Cultura; and interning under an English professor at a large web design company. Returning from her adventures in Central America, she was pleased to continue her international experiences at home by teaching English to international students here in Las Vegas. Her tentative future plans include continuing her education in graduate school and teaching abroad in various parts of the world.

Megan Buckley

Coralee Poist

Coralee Poist is originally from Valparaiso, Indiana, home of the Hoosiers; however, she has lived in a slew of different places spanning all coasts of the United States, and has even ventured farther south, out of the US, to Sao Paulo, Brazil where she lived for five years and experienced the other side of learning a language. While in Brazil, Coralee taught ESL and TOEFL to many international students from all over the world. She completed her undergraduate work at Texas A&M International University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English degree. Her passions, in addition to teaching English to students from all over the world, are writing fictional stories, reading historical fiction, playing musical instruments, talking (a lot), listening to music, dancing, and many other things.

Hannah Malcolm

Hannah Malcolm was born and raised in West Virginia. After completing a degree in theater and English in 2001, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. She has been living and teaching in the Las Vegas area ever since. Hannah first worked with ESL students in their young teens through her employment with the Clark County School District. She loves studying English and learning the languages of her students. She is married and has one son.
